Central Costa Brava now closer to Barcelona.

After a three-year project, this summer the new C-31 motorway between Palamos and Platja d'Aro has been officially inaugurated; Catalunya has invested 88 million euros in this vital improvement in infrastructure at the Costa Brava.

As a result you can now travel from Platja d'Aro to Palamos in about 10 minutes and a trip by car for a visit to Barcelona now takes a little more than 1 hour!

With 48 kilometers of a dual 2 lane Motorway now finished between Maçanet de la Selva (AP7 entrance to Barcelona) and Palafrugell, the “Gavarres ring” begins to take shape.

The project will continue now with the remaining section from Palafrugell to the city of Girona, including ring roads for La Bisbal d'Empordà and Celrà.
